In business on St. Thomas-St. John since 1966, Innovative Cable TV is the oldest cable television system in the Caribbean. (Originally called Caribbean Communications Corp., the company was purchased by Innovative in 1998). In 1997 Innovative also purchased the largest cable system on St. Croix. The company holds a 15-year, non-exclusive franchise to provide cable television services in the Virgin Islands and distributes digital signals to over 25,000 customers. Innovative also owns and operates four other cable systems in the Caribbean: St. Maarten Cable TV, BVI Cable TV, Martinique TV Cable and World Satellite Guadeloupe.
Improving Quality & Consistency of Service
Innovative is currently implementing a multi-million dollar plan to upgrade the network infrastructure. This will be accomplished by deploying a Hybrid Fiber-optic Coaxial (HFC) cable network. With this significant and unparalleled investment in the infrastructure and operating systems at the Innovative Companies, Virgin Islanders will be consumers of the most sophisticated products in the Caribbean — on par with anywhere else in the world — and will have extremely reliable services.
Improving Customer Service
Customer Service is a priority at Innovative. Customer service agents and technicians have received and continue to receive extensive training to ensure that the customer experience is positive. A new enterprise operating system will include enhanced trouble-resolution functionality, resulting in faster response to network and customer issue resolution. And a new billing and accounting system will allow customers to receive combined invoices for all Innovative services. We will continue to innovate and improve to ensure we provide the best customer service possible.
Local Programming
Innovative Cable TV is your only source for local channels and programming, including TV2’s award-winning local news. Programming on TV2 also includes documentaries, such as V.I. Playmakers, and local sports and event coverage, such as the St. Thomas Carnival and St. Croix Festival parades.
